I hope you took the time to make your list of 25 wants, as I suggested last week.
If so, go through it again and circle the top five.
Then look at how you spend your days.
How much time are you consciously investing in creating these wants?
Ask yourself why?
The answers are the limiting beliefs holding you back from achieving your desires.
Question the beliefs.
Are they true? Are they useful?
What else could be true?
Could you choose to believe something else?
What if you took a chance and decided to believe it was possible?
What do you have to lose?
What we genuinely want is VERY important information.
It’s how we program our brain to take us where we want to go.
It’s how we know how and what to spend our time on.
If you don’t know what you want, you will never get it.
If you don’t know where you are going, you won’t know how to get there.
When you are clear about what you want, your time and life will support it.
Here are a few of my wants:
A life full of love and laughter with friends and family. That includes casual dinners in and out, intimate conversations, parties, game nights, and vacations.
A beautiful, open, spacious ranch home with lots of natural light, amazing neighbors, walking paths, mature trees, gorgeous landscaping, and a pool.
A healthy, balanced, strong body and mind.
A beautiful, organized closet full of elegant, comfortable, quality clothes that I love and feel beautiful in.
An easy, abundant, aligned business that allows me to help smart but stressed women create lives of passion, purpose, and peace.
Notice how detailed and descriptive mine are.
I can feel them as if I already have them.
They feel abundant, loving, connecting, authentic, and aligned.
My body feels open, expansive, full, warm, and light.
Brains don’t know the difference between imagination and reality.
They just know how you feel.
When I feel these sensations in my body, it sends chemicals to my brain that tell it this is good and important.
The feeling tricks your brain into believing you already have it, so it feels safe and doesn’t try to prevent you from going there.
Try it.
Do it again.
Practicing this will program your brain and tell it exactly where to go.
Now that you have your list , practice visualizing and feeling as if you have it every day.
Have fun with this and next week I’ll give you a tool to start taking action.
