Happy Valentine’s Day

This week, we celebrate love.

I love love.

It’s my favorite.

Who doesn’t want more love in their life?

It’s why you were created.

To love and be loved.

To be seen, heard, cared for, and do the same for others.

You long for it, search for it, and sometimes it feels beyond your reach.

If only you could find it and hold on to it.

But it’s not something outside of you to be found.

Love is not some elusive, magical thing that you find in someone special, and then it magically jumps out of their body and into yours.

Love is an emotion you create with your thoughts.

YOU direct your brain what to think, feel, and do.

You can direct it to find things that create irritation or appreciation.

It’s up to you.

You can learn to do this on purpose.

At any moment, you can choose how to think about your partner, your kids, your parents, your friends, and even your mother-in-law.

You can choose thoughts that trigger chemicals in your brain that create the feeling of love or thoughts that create the feeling of irritation, disappointment, or judgment.

Love is always in your control.

You believe you don’t have a choice when you feel annoyed, hurt, and angry.

You think it’s because of what they say, do, or don’t do.

But there is a crucial step between their actions and your feelings.

That step is your thoughts about their actions.

No one teaches us this.

So, we go through life believing our feelings are at the mercy of other people.

I believed it for most of my life, and it kept me stuck in unhealthy patterns.

But it's NOT true, my friend.

You are the one creating those feelings, and that's good news,

Because knowing this will completely transform your life.

It will change you. It will change your relationships.

It will free you from waiting on others to behave a certain way until you experience peace and joy.

It will enable you to see more good in yourself and others.

It will create deeper trust and intimacy with yourself and others.

You will laugh more, enjoy more, and live more fully and freely.

We long for so much more.

We desire a life filled with passion, purpose, and peace.

And it’s already inside you.

It’s the real you.

I can teach you how to access it.
