You’re not Just here to get things done

I’ve been thinking a lot about authenticity.
Not the loud, dramatic kind.
The quiet kind that asks, Who am I really, beneath the roles, the expectations, and the to-do list?
Authenticity matters more than we realize.
Because we’re always creating what we believe the most.
If I believe I have so much to do, I somehow create more work.
If I believe I must prove my worth through productivity, I stay busy proving.
If I believe rest comes later, it always stays later.
“Getting things done” is one part of my life.
But who else am I?
Sometimes I forget. I get lost in the doing.
I know I’m forgetting who I am when I feel overworked, overwhelmed, and stressed.
Those feelings are signals — not that I’m failing — but that I’ve drifted from myself.

Here’s what I’ve learned:
If you try to create your dream life from overwhelm, you’ll just create a more impressive version of overwhelm.
But if you create from authenticity — from who you truly are — life starts to feel different.
Lighter.
Easier.
More spacious.
More like yours.
One of the tools I use with myself, and my clients to get in touch with authenticity is play.
Not as a reward. But as a way back to truth.
How did you play as a child?
Were you imaginative? Curious? Outdoorsy? Expressive?
And how would you like to play now… if you had time?
Ah. There it is.
“I’ll read when I have time.”
“I’ll call my friend when I have time.”
I’ll take the class. Start the hobby. Go for the walk… when I have time.
I don’t know about you, but I rarely have the time until I make it.
And making time, even in small ways, is often the beginning of building a life that reflects who you actually are.
Authenticity isn’t about doing.
It’s about being.
And when you’re being more of yourself, you naturally begin creating a life that fits you, not one you’re constantly trying to keep up with.
If something in you is quietly stirring as you read this, that’s the part of you that’s ready for more.
That’s where I come in.
If you’d like support reconnecting with who you are beneath the busyness, and intentionally creating the life you’ve quietly been longing for, I would love to walk alongside you.
Together, we gently uncover the patterns and beliefs that have kept you overworking, overthinking, overfunctioning, and stuck in a life that no longer serves you, so you can build a life that doesn’t just look successful on the outside, but feels calm, spacious, and deeply aligned on the inside.
And here’s what I want you to know: this doesn’t have to be another thing you “work on.”
What if it could feel steady instead of overwhelming, peaceful instead of pressured, even joyful instead of exhausting?
What if the life you’ve been searching for isn’t found by doing more—but by finally choosing yourself?
With warmth (and a little permission to play),
Marcy

one thing I also find about authenticity is it takes awareness, openness of whom you are; asking questions, difficult questions. This is what creates and gathers a better understanding, a deeper understanding.
