To Love and Be Loved

Updated: Nov 4, 2022

Today we celebrate love.

Who doesn’t want more love in their life?

It’s what you were created for.

To love and be loved.

To be seen, heard, cared for.

You long for it, search for it, sometimes it feels like it’s just beyond your reach.

If only you could find it and hold on to it.

But it’s not something outside of you.

Love is not some elusive, magical thing that you find in someone special, and then it magically jumps out of their body and into yours.

Love is an emotion you create with your thoughts.

At any moment, you are directing your brain on what to do.

You can direct it to find things that create irritation or appreciation.

It’s always up to you.

You can learn to do this on purpose.

At any moment, you are choosing to think thoughts about your partner, your kids, your parents, your friend, your mother-in-law.

You can choose the thoughts that trigger chemicals in your brain that create the feeling of love or thoughts that create the feeling of irritation, disappointment, or judgment.

Love is always in your control.

You believe you don’t have a choice when you feel annoyed, irritated, and angry.

You think it’s because of what they say, do, or don’t do.

But there is a crucial step between their actions and your feelings.

That step is your thoughts about their actions.

No one tells us this.

So we go through life believing we’re at the mercy of other people.

I believed it for most of my life.

But it's NOT true, my friend.

You are the one creating those feelings and thats good news.

Because knowing this can completely transform your life.

It can change you. It can change your relationships.

It can free you from waiting on others to behave a certain way until you experience peace and joy.

It can enable you to see more good in yourself and others.

It can create deeper trust and intimacy with yourself and others.

You can laugh more.

It’s true. That longing for so much more. That desire for a life filled with passion, purpose, and peace. You have it for a reason. It’s what you were created for.

And it’s already inside. It’s the real you. I teach you how to access it.

Happy Valentines Day.
